LakePulse Database
Our database will include data from many sources across Canada:
1. LakePulse Survey
We will visit 680 lakes across Canada to measure a wide range of lake health variables to extensively characterize these lakes.
2. Our partners
We collaborate with our partners to integrate their large databases into our LakePulse Database.
3. Lake associations & other groups
A web-based interface will allow citizens to share their lake data with us. We are also collaborating on a mobile app to further encourage participation.
LakePulse Database 5-year timeline
2017 – The framework for the national LakePulse Database is being developed by examining other large-scale lake databases.
